Panasonic’s high-brightness projection technology played a central role in Hungary’s St Stephen’s Day celebrations in Budapest, with 67 new Panasonic PT-RQ45K and 16 PT-RQ35K 3-Chip DLP laser projectors deployed to create projection mapping onto both sides of the Hungarian Parliament Building, the Széchenyi Chain Bridge and buildings along the Pest side of the Danube.
The installation represents the largest deployment of Panasonic PT-RQ45K projectors worldwide to date, forming part of a wider audiovisual show combining projection mapping with lighting, lasers, drones, music and fireworks along the river between Margaret Bridge and the Chain Bridge.
The PT-RQ45K combines 42,000 lumens of brightness with 4K image reproduction in a body comparable in size to the existing PT-RQ35K Series, and is designed as the world’s smallest and lightest 4K projector in its brightness class to simplify transportation, rigging and installation. It uses Panasonic’s Quad Pixel Drive technology to produce a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels, alongside a built-in 5in Color Information Monitor, standard 12G-SDI input, Intel SDM-compatible slot and Remote Preview support.
The production was delivered by Centrum Production, completed within six weeks and bringing together more than 300 companies and over 1,000 professionals, including six light art studios and eight independent light artists who contributed to the animations and visual content.

The new PT-RQ45K provided the reliability, flexibility and visual impact required to bring our creative vision to life.”
