Tripleplay’s IPTV platform has been selected by the Sapienza University of Rome to deliver live television services across its Rome campuses. The Tripleplay digital media platform will be implemented to around 40 displays across 10 sites in the city and provide the University with the power to control each TV individually.
Roberto Blesa, Tripleplay’s country manager for Italy, commented: “The Sapienza University of Rome is one of Italy’s leading educational institutions, to be even a small part of their technological plans is wonderful for our business and is something which we are hugely proud.
“Our platform allows so many services to be delivered that should the University decide they wish to expand or add features then it is a simple process and something we will happily work with them and our colleagues at Freenet to achieve.”
Tripleplay’s single platform media delivery solution is in use by educational establishments around the world including Queen Margaret University in Scotland, Harvard Business School in the USA, Sheffield Hallam University in England and La Trobe University in Australia.
