Optoma launches trio of short throw projectors

Optoma has released the H114, H183X and S331 to add to its range of home projectors in preparation for a summer of sport in 2016.

The new models include high brightness and colour accuracy and complement the 1080p models GT1080 short throw projector and HD141X.

Joe Ahmed, head of marketing at Optoma EMEA, commented: “The unrivalled and affordable image size that a projector offers provides an immersive sports viewing experience that brings the game to life and can be shared with friends. With the summer of sport around the corner, an easily portable home projection system is an absolute ‘must-have’ for football fans.”

The new projectors have built-in speakers and an HDMI input which allows connection to the latest laptops or Blu-ray players as well as games consoles such as Sony PS4, Microsoft Xbox One or digital set top boxes. An audio output is also included, enabling connection to external sound systems. All models are portable and the S331 also has MHL connectivity, which makes it easy to share content from tablets and smartphones.

Optional wireless is available, allowing users to stream content wirelessly from a PC, laptop or mobile device.

The three new models can display true 3D content from almost any 3D source, including 3D Blu-ray players, 3D broadcasting and games consoles.
