eyevis partner Bon Studio has installed six videowalls at Greek sports broadcaster OTE SPORT, following a highly competitive bidding process.
OTE TV is the biggest, most integrated sports network in the Greek market, with exclusive rights to 44 tournaments. It has 11 sports channels, eight sport shows, and transmits more than 50 live broadcasts per week in all kinds of sports. Since February 2015, ΟΤΕ SPORT TV shows have been broadcasting from new facilities with state-of-the-art equipment and HD broadcast capability.
The broadcaster’s brief was that the displays should show perfect high-quality, high-resolution pictures, and should have an anti-reflective surface in order to prevent any glare from the studio lights. Additionally, the bezel gap from screen to screen should be minimised.
Bon Studio completed the relevant study and suggested installing eyevis EYE-LCD-5500-XSN-LD LCD monitors with the corresponding matrix and mountings. Outstanding display characteristics, best brightness and contrast values and several new features within the electronics were among the factors behind the choice of this model.
In total, 36 monitors were supplied to make six video walls: one 3 x 6, two 2 x 2, one 1 x 4, one 3 x 1 and three monitors hanging separately. A central video server supplies video and graphics to all the walls.
Installation and commissioning were completed by Bon Studio, with technical support from eyevis in Germany.
