Palmer Digital Group, a digital kiosk and menu board specialist, has been named an approved supplier of outdoor digital menu board (ODMB) systems for Burger King franchisees across the US and Canada, with LG 49in outdoor displays forming the core of the technology being deployed. The agreement, which opens up a potential market of around 6,000 restaurants as the chain modernises its drive-thru technology, allows franchisees to purchase PDG’s single- and triple-panel ODMB systems, which integrate the LG displays into the company’s modular outdoor enclosures.

Installations are already under way, with the first locations opening in Wisconsin and approximately 18 orders placed. PDG expects around 30 Burger King locations to be operational by the end of the third quarter, rising to approximately 50 by the end of 2026. The modular design allows individual components to be serviced or replaced without needing to swap out the entire structure, reducing maintenance costs and lowering total cost of ownership across the product lifecycle.
Franchisees will have the option of professional installation by PDG’s nationwide team, or self-installation following training. PDG says the systems were engineered with modularity and ease of installation in mind, giving operators flexibility over how projects are staffed and scheduled. Self-installation training is led by Patrick Profitt, PDG’s vice president of project management and field operations, through an online session covering every stage of the deployment process.
Beyond the display hardware itself, PDG provides site surveys, concrete foundations, conduit installation, high- and low-voltage electrical work, trenching, indoor display installation and ongoing break-fix support, positioning the company as a single-source provider across the full project lifecycle.
The Burger King agreement builds on PDG’s wider push into the quick-service restaurant sector, where the company says it has invested in expanded installation resources, emerging technologies including Voice AI integration, and modular product design.
Chuck Lewis, president of Palmer Digital Group, said: “Being selected by one of the world’s most recognised QSR brands reinforces our reputation for delivering reliable, innovative outdoor digital menu board solutions that are designed to last while making installation and long-term ownership easier for operators.”
