On-demand webinar: Datapath & Installation explore control room configuration

Free session – now available on-demand – examined how companies can set-up control rooms that are ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow

A new webinar from Installation and Datapath recently explored control room configuration. Taking place on 25 January, 2024 from 3-4pm GMT, the session was moderated by Installation editor Rob Lane and feature insight from two Datapath experts: product manager Matthew Tibbitt and business development manager Greg Babbs.

For those who were unable to attend the live broadcast, on-demand access is available here

“It’s said that the only certainty is change, and that is no different for control rooms,” remarks Tibbitt. “With advancements in technology, requirements for higher quality visuals, and the need to monitor an ever-expanding landscape of data and information, organisations are arguably facing more challenges now than ever before. In this webinar, we’ll really drill down into the details of how they can maintain a responsive, adaptable environment for the operator today that’s also ready to meet tomorrow’s requirements.”

Specific topics addressed included: the common issues that are preventing control rooms from operating at their best; the challenges being faced by control room operators and how they can be alleviated by involving pro AV; and the elements that integrators and consultants should prioritise if they are to deliver first-in-class control room operations.

“The control rooms sector has been incredibly dynamic for many years and often one of the first to adopt new technologies,” says Lane. “With increased automation and workload requirements on the horizon, there couldn’t be a better time to examine the set-up of control rooms with one of the industry’s biggest and most respected names.”

The discussion also touched upon Datapath’s own acclaimed control room solution, Aetria. Providing a complete networked solution for control rooms of any size, the system is also inherently scalable, allowing further expansion of video walls, workstations, sources and third-party integrations as business needs evolve.

The newly increased hardware and software portfolio for Aetria headlined Datapath’s appearance at ISE 2024, where the company also showcased its extensive commissioning and training capabilities that allow end-users to get the most out of their new systems as quickly as possible.
