Gravity Media lands Montreux Jazz Festival contract

Global live production company will deliver coverage across festival's stages and broadcast partners under a 3+2-year agreement, beginning with 60th edition this year.

Gravity Media has been appointed as the official AV production provider of Montreux Jazz Festival, replacing Swiss public broadcaster RTS, which had held the role for the previous five years.

The multi-year deal sees Gravity Media working alongside Montreux Media Ventures (MMV), the festival’s dedicated AV production arm, to deliver live and recorded coverage across its stages, platforms and broadcast partners. RTS will remain a partner of the festival.

2026 marks the 60th edition of the legendary Swiss festival, which has welcomed artists including David Bowie, Prince, Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan and Kendrick Lamar to the shores of Lake Geneva since its founding in 1967.

Gravity Media is deploying its Nova 105 outside broadcast vehicle in full IP delivery mode, configured across two stages within a single truck. The system supports P25 camera formats and wide-sensor workflows including Sony Venice II integration. Production will follow a UHD S-Log3 master workflow with real-time colour grading to maintain a consistent visual identity across broadcasts.

Nick Bonard, CEO of Montreux Media Ventures, said the partnership would build on the festival’s longstanding commitment to innovation. “Our new collaboration with Gravity Media builds on this legacy, enhancing our distinctive cinematic approach to live music production and taking the festival’s world-class performances to new creative heights,” he said.

Chris Demeulemeester, responsible for international projects and sales at Gravity Media, added that the appointment demonstrated the company’s capabilities beyond sport. “Large-scale live music productions demand the same precision, technical excellence and collaborative approach as major sporting events,” he said.

Alongside festival coverage, MMV will also produce monthly livestreams from its UNESCO-registered audiovisual archive, beginning with Alanis Morissette: Live at Montreux (2012).
