AOTO supplies LED displays to World Cup stadiums

AOTO Electronics has supplied numerous LED displays to FIFA World Cup stadiums – the second time it has done so.

AOTO Electronics has supplied numerous LED displays to the 2014 FIFA World Cup – the second time it has supplied the tournament, following the 2010 championship in South Africa. The Shenzhen-based company is providing the perimeter LED display system at all 2014 World Cup stadiums, and high-definition LED display system at five fan parks — Sao Paulo, Belo Hotizonte, Manaus, Porto Alegre and Recife.

AOTO says that the stadium perimeter LED displays are 10mm pixel pitch SMD models, featuring high-precision colour reproduction, uniformity of saturation and ultra high refresh rate, to meet the requirements of high-speed video cameras used for live broadcasts. Additionally, their high colour depth and 20-bit grey processing depth help to produce a natural and smooth image. Multiple real-time back-up systems ensure reliable delivery of advertising messages at live broadcast games.

Developed in house, AOTO’s high-end LED displays have been successfully deployed in top international sports events for seven years: these include the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Chile, the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa, the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, the 2012 UEFA European Championship, the London 2012 Olympic Games Torch Relay, the 2013 Formula One World Championship and the 2014 French Open.
