MSolutions launches USB-C to HDMI connectivity device

The MS-UniLink100 converts USB-C laptop output to 4K60 HDMI and delivers up to 100W of charging through a single connection, for meeting rooms built around HDMI

MSolutions, a supplier of AV extension, connectivity and test products, has introduced the UniLink100 Series, a family of compact devices that connect modern USB-C laptops to existing HDMI-based AV systems. The first product, the MS-UniLink100, converts USB-C DP Alt Mode to HDMI 2.0 in one enclosure, so a laptop can connect directly to an existing display, matrix switcher or codec without dongles or adapters.

The MS-UniLink100 supports resolutions up to 4K60 4:4:4 with 18Gbps video bandwidth and is HDCP 2.1 compliant. It delivers up to 100W of power to the connected laptop, up from the 60W offered by the company’s MS-DPA Series, so users can present and charge over one USB-C cable. The plug-and-play design needs no drivers or software, and the compact metal enclosure is designed to sit beneath tables, behind displays or inside AV furniture. Integrators can add it to an existing HDMI signal path without redesigning the room.

MSolutions expects to add a second UniLink100 Series device in Q1 2027, offering additional source connectivity and switching flexibility. The series sits alongside the MS-DPA Series, which extends DP Alt Mode signals over longer distances.

Eliran Toren, CEO of MSolutions, said: “Everyone wants a modern meeting room, but that doesn’t mean they want to replace a perfectly good AV system every time laptop technology changes. We developed UniLink100 to bridge that gap between new technology and existing infrastructure. With one compact device, we can bring modern USB-C connectivity and charging into an existing HDMI environment, giving customers a more practical and economical path forward.”

David Slavitt of US MSolutions added: “Integrators can revisit existing customers and show them how to modernise their conference rooms without tearing everything apart. A customer may have invested $30,000 or $50,000 in a room that still performs beautifully, but the people walking into that room now have laptops with USB-C connections. UniLink100 solves that problem without forcing the customer to start over.”
