PureLink simplifies USB-C integration for AV systems

New PT-C-CPDHD-18G and PT-C-CPDHU-18G USB-C to HDMI converters let installers add USB-C connectivity to existing meeting rooms and KVM systems without replacing legacy AV infrastructure

PureLink has introduced the PT-C-CPDHD-18G and PT-C-CPDHU-18G USB-C to HDMI converters, two compact additions to its PureTools range that allow USB-C connectivity to be added to existing AV installations. Both models can be used as standalone one-cable docking solutions or to upgrade legacy presentation and KVM systems, enabling USB-C laptops to be integrated without replacing existing infrastructure.

The PT-C-CPDHD-18G converts USB-C to HDMI while providing up to 100W of Power Delivery to the connected device. The PT-C-CPDHU-18G adds USB data connectivity, making it suited to touch displays, Smart Boards, BYOM environments and HDMI-based KVM systems. Both models support 4K60 4:4:4 video and feature integrated EDID and HDCP management, along with a locking USB-C Power Delivery input.

Ron Alfred Guggenheim, chief growth officer at PureLink GmbH, said: “Many organisations want to introduce USB-C into their meeting rooms without replacing AV equipment that still performs perfectly well. The PT-C Series provides a simple and practical way to modernise existing installations while protecting previous investments.”

The PT-C-CPDHD-18G and PT-C-CPDHU-18G are available now through PureLink’s global network of distribution partners.
