Lightware upgrades room automation platform

LARA 2.0 introduces a redesigned architecture alongside new monitoring, security and logging features for AV integrators

Lightware has launched LARA 2.0, an upgrade to its room automation platform that introduces a redesigned architecture aimed at improving processing efficiency and flexibility. The platform is designed to manage room automation within Lightware systems.

The new version switches from a multithreaded to a single-threaded processing model, providing a foundation for more advanced configurations and future feature development. For consultants, integrators and support teams, the changes also provide greater visibility into system performance.

A built-in resource monitoring tool provides visibility of actual CPU and memory usage within a live system, allowing teams to assess system capacity during commissioning and plan future upgrades. Native LARA 2.0 driver modules are also available for download.

Gergely Vida, CEO of Lightware, said: “LARA has always been designed to give integrators a simple and flexible way to manage room automation within Lightware systems. With LARA 2.0, we have focused on strengthening the platform foundation while introducing practical tools that help integrators design, commission and maintain more sophisticated systems with greater confidence.”
