Sony has announced that AV-Professional, based in Vienna, is the first rental company globally to add its Crystal LED VERONA video wall (ZRD-VP15EB, 1.5mm pitch) to its hire offering. The system, shown at IBC 2025, is aimed at high-end virtual production workflows, offering up to 40 square metres of modular LED display with support for Brompton Tessera SX40 processing.

Designed for ease of setup, the VERONA panels boast a square module format, protective surface coating, and a stacking system that allows quick assembly without specialist tools. Sony says the panels support a peak brightness of 1,500 cd/sqm, high refresh rates up to 7,680 Hz, and the company’s Deep Black and Anti-Reflection surface technology to improve image quality on virtual sets.
Alongside VERONA, AV-Professional has also added Sony’s OCELLUS camera tracking system and Virtual Production Tool Set to its portfolio. OCELLUS uses SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping) technology for markerless tracking and is compatible with Sony’s Cinema Line and broadcast cameras, as well as third-party models.
David Knapp, managing director of AV-Professional, said: “The investment in a Sony Verona C-LED wall is part of our internationalisation strategy. After intensive market research, we decided on the best quality system on the market.”
Tefik Odza, senior key account manager DACH at Sony Europe, added: “Our Crystal LED VERONA video wall is the top of the range for demanding virtual production applications… VERONA meets the expectations of cinematographers who need an optimal shooting environment.”
