PPDS has announced the appointment of experienced AV sales specialist, Kristen O’Connor, to its North America management team as sales operations manager, as part of an accelerated recruitment drive to increase staff numbers by 50 percent in the region this year.
Based in Oregon, and with a career entering its twelfth successful year, O’Connor is an established and highly respected member of the AV industry and community, having held a series of leadership roles at some of the world’s most established innovative technology companies.
Reporting to Joe King, VP hospitality at PPDS, her role covers a broad range of important responsibilities, including driving revenue, providing data-driven insights, pipeline development, management and forecasting, performance metric analysis, and sales process optimisation. In addition, O’Connor will also be providing sales data management, communication, and tools administration to ensure increased efficiency and productivity, while helping to improve the sales onboarding process and provide ongoing training on sales tools.
“I am delighted to have joined PPDS and to be part of the company’s journey as it continues to set a new benchmark for the pro AV industry, delivering truly world leading, highly innovative solutions together with unrivalled customer support,” she said.
“As PPDS continues to grow rapidly, we need to ensure we have a solid, scalable structure and sales process. My ambition is to build out a successful operations team that will help propel the success of the overall sales team, support strategic initiatives, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. I believe my ability to recognise and prioritise challenges, develop ideas for potential solutions, and then execute them with thoughtfulness and a focus on collaboration makes me an effective asset to any team.”
Nick Begleries, commercial VP, North America at PPDS, added: “2023 is another important year for PPDS as we continue an accelerated phase of growth in North America with the aim to achieve a top three position in the marketplace. To achieve our ambitions, it’s vital we have the right people in our teams, those who want to join the business on its journey and share our desire for delivering truly unrivalled support to our customers. Having worked with Kristen before, and seeing her dedication and commitment in previous roles, I’m thrilled to be working with her again. On behalf of PPDS, I welcome Kristen to the team.”
