Leyard Europe appoints DACH territory lead

Former Sharp NEC Display Solutions sales head Matthias Hartmann will focus on LED opportunities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Leyard Europe has appointed Matthias Hartmann as territory lead DACH, as the company continues to invest in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and expand its team to provide greater support to system integrators, consultants and planners.

Hartmann brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise B2B technology sales, including 18 years with Dell Technologies across sales, sales management and international project roles. He subsequently moved into the professional display industry as general manager sales DACH at Sharp NEC Display Solutions, gaining experience of the AV channel and the requirements of large-scale display projects.

In his new role, Hartmann will develop Leyard’s business across the region, working with system integrators, distributors, consultants, planners and end users. His remit has a particular focus on control rooms, corporate meeting and conference environments and broadcast applications, where Leyard sees significant opportunities for LED. A key priority will be increasing responsiveness, ensuring partners have fast access to technically sound advice and qualified proposals.

Matthias Hartmann, territory lead DACH at Leyard Europe, said: “DACH is an important and growing market for Leyard, and we want to be closer to our customers and partners throughout the project lifecycle. That means being involved early, supporting planners and consultants with the technical detail they need, and working alongside integrators to make sure projects are properly specified and delivered. Site reports, drawings, viewing distances, brightness, mounting, power and heat considerations are all part of the support we can provide.”

He added: “Leyard Europe has an exceptional portfolio, with a solution for virtually every project requirement, from premium fine-pitch LED and COB through to all-in-one displays, LCD and video wall controllers. The fact that Leyard owns its technology is a major advantage, while European manufacturing and service provide an additional level of confidence for customers.

“For US-headquartered companies, the fact that many Leyard products are TAA certified is also an important consideration. Broadcast is a good example of that breadth. Studio and set applications demand very high image quality, high refresh rates and reliable operation, and our fine-pitch LED solutions are well suited to these requirements.”

Filip Cogghe, vice president, Europe at Leyard Europe, added: “DACH is an important growth market for Leyard Europe, and strengthening our local presence is a key part of our strategy. Matthias brings a strong combination of enterprise technology experience, deep understanding of the professional AV channel and a real passion for technology. His experience will be invaluable as we continue to build our relationships with integrators, consultants and planners, while expanding the support we provide throughout the project lifecycle. We’re delighted to have him on board as we invest further in the region and build our DACH team.”
