Planar has launched the Cobra Series, a new family of fine pixel pitch LED video walls built on the company’s proprietary EverPixel and TruMicro LED technologies.
The series is available in 0.6mm, 0.7mm, 0.9mm and 1.2mm pixel pitches and is aimed at premium indoor applications. Planar said the displays offer display uniformity, off-axis image quality and colour consistency.
EverPixel architecture incorporates pixel-level redundancy into the display, which Planar said is intended to help maintain image quality and continuous operation. TruMicro technology uses LEDs as small as 20 micrometres, which the company said enables MicroLED-level performance and finer pixel pitches.
Sidney Rittenberg, chief executive officer at Planar, said: “Planar Cobra Series brings together groundbreaking fine pitch LED innovation and a proven platform to deliver exceptional image quality, advanced reliability and enhanced durability. By combining EverPixel and TruMicro technologies, we’ve created the industry’s first ultra-fine pitch LED display platform that gives customers greater confidence in the image they see today and over the life of the display.”
The series includes a protective display surface intended to guard against casual contact, along with an energy-efficient design aimed at reducing power consumption. Planar said these features are designed to support deployment in public spaces, collaborative environments and interactive touch applications.
The Cobra Series is supported by Planar’s WallDirector family of solutions, covering video wall control, content management and display monitoring, including the WallDirector Video Controller for source capture and content windowing, and WallDirector Cloud for remote management.
The Cobra Series is available now through Planar’s network of authorised resellers, and in Europe via Leyard Europe. It was unveiled at InfoComm 2026, held June 17-19 in Las Vegas.
