Superyacht Technology Summit offers exciting new opportunities

The Superyacht Technology Summit at ISE 2022 represents the first major coming together of two significant industries – superyacht technology and AV technology.

Summit moderator Derek Munro believes the Superyacht Technology Summit and ISE 2022 are “great for each other”. He explained: “The key players in the superyacht industry get massive exposure to ISE clients and the ISE clients get massive exposure to key players in the superyacht industry – who by the nature of the owners are ultra-high net worth individuals.

“Not only do they have yachts, but also commercial and residential properties, and they want them all to be smart, green, efficient and ahead in terms of technology. We are looking at everything from power management to superyacht toys to TV and AV. All of which are at ISE. I cannot wait for this event.”

The Summit has the theme ‘Full speed ahead for the superyacht industry’. Key sessions include:

    • Superyacht Technology: Working to Shape the Future. Feargus Bryan, Director, Watermark Yacht Management, will discuss how the superyacht industry and the mainstream technology industry need to work together, to shape the future of superyachts and both business and environmental sustainability
    • Why AV is More Than Just Screens and Audio. Kris Hogg, European Business Manager – Luxury Living, Samsung Electronics Europe, will look at how recent developments in display technology have enabled the superyacht industry to re-define how on-board AV technology is used to create a complete guest journey, from first stepping on board to the day they depart.
  • Superyacht New Build Process. Derek Munro, Director, Divergent Yachting, will discuss the process of building a new superyacht from concept through design, construction until delivery.
  • Cyber Security: The Human Factor. Richard Hodder, CEO & Co-Founder, Pelion Consulting will ask if we are ready, as humans, to face and deal with ever-changing and increasingly complex cyber security threats and issues?

The Summit is produced in association with Superyacht Techology Network whose Director, Jack Robinson, is our Content Chair. He has 16 years’ experience in the superyacht industry, specifically in media and technology, and has an established relationship as an integrator and expert in the industry.

The Superyacht Technology Summit takes place on Thursday 12 May from 10:30 to 14:30 in the Projection Dome in Hall 5. Shure is Conference Audio Partner.
