The growing use of broadcast-originated production technologies across enterprise AV, education and live production environments will be a key focus of the second panel at AV & Broadcast Summit, taking place in London on June 24 and co-hosted by Installation and TVBEurope, with analysis from experts from Shotoku Broadcast Systems, Royal Academy of Arts, Lawo and Sony Europe.
Scheduled for 1015am-1045am, From Broadcast-Only to Enterprise-Ready: How Production Technologies Are Moving Beyond Broadcast will explore how vendors are simplifying complex workflows, adapting control systems and expanding the reach of production technologies beyond traditional broadcast environments.
Moderated by Jenny Priestley, content director at TVBEurope, the discussion will focus on how broadcast-originated tools are being repurposed for enterprise studios, education facilities and live production environments, and what this means for system design and integration approaches.
Among the panellists is James Eddershaw, managing director, from panel sponsor Shotoku Broadcast Systems. With more than 35 years’ experience in broadcast robotics and automation, Eddershaw has worked across remote production and control systems for live news, sports and major institutional environments.
Joining him is Benji Fox, head of audio visual, Royal Academy of Arts. Fox leads AV operations across exhibition spaces, live events and content production, bringing a cultural sector perspective on how broadcast-grade tools are being used in creative environments.
Devin Workman, sales director – UK, Ireland and southern Europe, from panel sponsor Lawo, will provide the manufacturer perspective. Workman has over 20 years’ experience in broadcast technology and IP infrastructure, with a focus on audio, video and control workflows in live production environments.
Also speaking is Stuart Newton, regional head, media solutions, from panel sponsor Sony Europe. Newton works across broadcast and pro AV markets, with experience in IP-based production workflows, imaging systems and virtual production technologies.
The panel will consider how broadcast tools are being re-engineered for broader deployment, and how this convergence is reshaping both product development and system integration strategies.
AV & Broadcast Summit is a one-day event co-hosted by Installation and TVBEurope, bringing together practitioners from both sectors to examine shared workflows, technologies and opportunities across IP, cloud, virtual production, AI, audio and control room design.
