The USB Capture Plus series, the latest addition to Magewell’s USB Capture family of video interface devices, is making its debut on the company’s stand. The new dongles add features, including expanded audio support, enhanced user controls and signal loop-through, on select models.
Magewell’s USB Capture Plus devices allow all types of computers, including laptops, to capture professional video and audio signals through a standard USB 3.0 interface. Featuring a driver-free design and automatic input detection for true plug-and-play operation, the dongles support Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems and offer broad compatibility with popular streaming, encoding, live production, collaboration, videoconferencing and lecture capture software.
Available in three models with a flexible choice of input connectivity, the USB Capture Plus series is pitched at applications ranging from broadcast, live event streaming and medical imaging to corporate training and gaming.
USB Capture HDMI Plus captures video up to 1920×1200, 1920×1080 or 2048×1080 at 60fps over a HDMI interface. Loop-through connectivity enables source signals to be simultaneously sent to a monitor or projector without the need for an HDMI splitter, simplifying wiring while saving costs.
It also supports 4K HDMI inputs at 60fps (with 4:2:0 colour subsampling) or 30fps (4:4:4), down-converting them automatically to HD for capture and recording.
The USB Capture SDI Plus provides similar functionality for professional broadcast and production workflows, capturing video up to 1080p60 with embedded audio via 3Gbps SDI.
