Integrated Systems Europe’s 20th anniversary show will go down as the biggest and best attended event in its history. It also delivered the largest content programme to date as the regular ISE conferences were augmented with the inaugural European/Latin American AV Summit, the first of its kind to explore the synergies between the two regions, and a rich Free-to-Attend programme that included the ever popular Tech Talks, AVIXA Xchange Live and CEDIA Smart Home Technology Stage, as well as the three keynote sessions from Oscar-winning director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and digital artists Jeroen van der Most and Sofia Crespo.
The weekend prior to the show, ISE delivered a projection mapping of Crespo’s ‘Structures of Being’ on the façade of the Gaudí-designed Casa Battló (which adorned the Day 1 cover of the Daily), in what it said was a gift to the city of Barcelona. Another gift to the city was the permanent installation of a new 193sqm transparent display at the South Access of the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via which hosted various content throughout the week, including two performances of ‘Bee Barcelona’ from van der Most, either side of his Wednesday keynote.
In addition to this were Tech Tours to AV installations at some of the city’s most iconic venues, innovative show features such as the ISE Audio Museum (a personal favourite), and the sights and sounds from the exhibitor booths on the largest show floor ever. There was so much to see, hear, and learn at ISE 2024, and we’ve curated a selection of highlights from our ISE Daily coverage from last week.
