Matrox Video marks 50 years and teases product launch

Canadian manufacturer, founded in Montreal in 1976, is celebrating its anniversary this week while announcing a low-latency video technology with reduced bandwidth requirements, due to be revealed at InfoComm 2026

Matrox Video is celebrating its 50th anniversary this week, marking five decades of video technology development from its Montreal headquarters. Alongside the anniversary, Matrox is teasing an upcoming product launch described as a new approach to delivering high-quality, low-latency video while significantly reducing network bandwidth requirements. Further details are expected in the first week of June, with a demonstration planned at InfoComm 2026.

Throughout its history, the company has been involved in advances ranging from multi-display computing and hardware-accelerated graphics to AVoIP and cloud-native video workflows.
