‘We work with the best in the biz’: AVMI execs on their AV Tech Awards Corporate Project win

The company won the Corporate Project of the Year gong at this year’s AV Technology Awards

AVMI, the winners of this year’s AV Technology Awards Corporate Project of the Year award for its work on NatWest’s Project Millennium, has described the accolade as “a great privilege” and hailed the team’s effort on what was a highly ambitious and complex job.

AVMI was appointed as NatWest’s AV partner to consult, design and deliver AV solutions across a number of floors in the building, including the ground, third, fourth and seventh floors. Working closely with LOM architects, over 110 technical specialists helped bring NatWest’s workplace of the future to life using AVIXA standards.

“Early on in the design stage we were looking for one large screen to service the whole auditorium but AVMI intervened and suggested we go down a three screen route. Looking back, that was one of the best decisions we made because it improved the functionality of the space and it improved the way in which that facility could operate,” said Tim Yendell, head of choice and design, NatWest.

Following the announcement that AVMI had emerged victorious in the Corporate Project category, the company posted a video on Twitter responding to the prize and discussing the work that went into delivering such a successful project.

“What a great privilege to win the Corporate Project of the Year,” said David Tucker, account director, AVMI. “What a fantastic job. This was a really complex job and the time constraints were really restrictive, so to deliver such an amazing job in such a short space of time is a real testament to the team’s skills. We work with the best in the business.”

James Robinson, head of projects (UK), AVMI, also added: “It was a fantastic project that was delivered in a very tight time scale and not has left the client with a world class events space.”

The 2020 AV Technology Awards were initially planned to take place in London last month but were subsequently held in the digital realm as a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. You can view all of this year’s winners here.
