GivingBack.tech to host webinar on surplus AV donations

UK platform, designed to facilitate donation of used equipment to charities and community organisations, hosts 30-minute webinar on May 22

May 22 online session from the UK platform that connects AV donors with charities will explore how surplus equipment can be redirected to not-for-profit organisations

Titled “An AV Industry Conduit To Good Causes”, the session will be hosted by Ian Morrish, founder of GivingBack.tech and Together For Cinema, and is open to stakeholders across the AV supply chain including manufacturers, distributors, integrators, consultants and end-user organisations.

The webinar is designed to explain how GivingBack.tech – a recently launched UK platform that facilitates the donation of secondhand, discontinued and B-stock AV equipment to not-for-profit organisations – works for both donors and recipients. It will also cover the practicalities of listing and sourcing equipment via the platform, and how companies can incorporate structured reuse into wider sustainability and social value strategies.

Ian Morrish, founder of GivingBack.tech, said: “GivingBack.tech is relevant to both residential and commercial AV markets, where ongoing technology refresh cycles often result in surplus equipment that remains fully operational but is no longer required. This is a great chance for those wanting to make a difference to the wider community, while helping achieve sustainability goals, to get real insight into how the system works.”

GivingBack.tech is an initiative from Together For Cinema CIC, an organisation dedicated to installing cinema rooms in children’s hospices and care settings across the UK. The platform is designed to enable manufacturers, distributors, integrators, resellers and service providers to list surplus equipment for donation, which charities and community interest companies can then apply to receive.

The webinar takes place on Friday May 22 at 10:00am. Registration is available at bit.ly.
