PLASA has announced that its in-person show at Olympia London on 5-7 September is on track to welcome a bumper crowd of industry professionals with the first three weeks of registration exceeding 2019’s figures; a show which ended up being “the busiest show in years”, according to organisers.
It said that the 53 per cent increase was aided by yesterday’s announcement from the UK government that all remaining Covid restrictions would be lifted as planned on 19 July. The announcement has been broadly welcomed by the live events sector, which has been among the hardest hit business sectors by throughout the periods of lockdown.
PLASA said, “Now that live events and gatherings have been given the green light, industry professionals are ready to get back to business and are wasting no time in registering for PLASA Show 2021.”
