ROE Visual LED screens light up Sir Brian Cox world tour

Carbon5 and Vanish6 ST LED screens were deployed across eight venues for the Emergence World Tour 2026, the latest live science show from the British physicist and broadcaster

ROE Visual’s Carbon5 (CB5) and Vanish6 ST (V6ST) LED solutions powered the Emergence World Tour 2026 across Australia and New Zealand, delivering a large-format visual canvas for the latest live production from British physicist and broadcaster Professor Brian Cox.

Emergence is Cox’s follow-up to his previous world tour, Horizons, and explores space, science and the universe through scientific storytelling. Emergence explores space, science and the universe through scientific storytelling. Cox, best known for BBC productions including Wonders of the Solar System and The Planets, has built a reputation for bringing science to the stage.

Working with Creative Technology Australia & New Zealand and Lateral Event Management, ROE Visual supplied CB5 and V6ST LED solutions for the production, with screens featured across eight venues and configurations tailored to each venue’s layout and audience viewing conditions.

CB5 was deployed for the majority of the tour, while V6ST was selected for Melbourne’s MCEC Plenary. ROE Visual’s touring frame was used to simplify installation across the multiple venues, helping enable turnarounds throughout the Australia and New Zealand run.

Owen Davison, president of Creative Technology Australia & New Zealand, said: “CT has worked with ROE Visual products across a wide range of projects over many years, so there was already a strong level of confidence in the product.”

Joshua Wildenberg, sales & account manager at Creative Technology Australia & New Zealand, added: “ROE Visual gave us the scale, consistency and reliability we needed for this tour. The product performed strongly across a range of venues, and CT’s delivery capability across Australia and New Zealand helped us maintain a high-quality visual result across the full run. CT’s new Brisbane office also played an important role in supporting the Queensland leg of the tour, helping keep delivery responsive and practical as the production moved between venues.”

The tour’s screen configurations were as follows: Sydney’s ICC Darling Harbour Theatre (CB5, 13.8m x 7.8m); Melbourne’s MCEC Plenary (V6ST, 21m x 9m); Newcastle Entertainment Centre (CB5, 18m x 9m); WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong (CB5, 18m x 9m); Brisbane Entertainment Centre (CB5, 21.6m x 10m); Wolfbrook Arena in Christchurch (CB5, 16.8m x 7.8m); Spark Arena in Auckland (CB5, 19.2m x 8.4m); and TSB Arena in Wellington (CB5, 19.2m x 8.4m).
