RGB Spectrum’s Zio AVoIP and XtendPoint KVM systems are central to the new Real Time Information Center (RTIC) in the Clovis Police Department, California. Designed to unify mission-critical data from cameras, drones, dispatch systems and more, the installation supports real-time visualisation and control across a scalable, operator-focused environment.
Integrator Wildfire Technology delivered planning, installation, and training in under 30 days. At the heart of the system is RGB Spectrum’s Zio 4000 video wall processor, powering a 14ft × 5.6ft Barco TruePix LED wall with a 0.9 mm pixel pitch. The processor handles 16 HDMI inputs and 12 outputs, enabling operators to display and switch between live video feeds, interactive maps, analytics tools, and incident-specific content from a single point of control. Content can also be routed to other areas including dispatch, field units and emergency operations centres and future remote access for city officials is already planned.
Operator control is handled via XtendPoint, RGB Spectrum’s KVM-over-IP solution, which allows users to interact with up to eight systems using a single keyboard and mouse across dual 43in curved 4K displays. This consolidation of control improves ergonomics and streamlines daily workflows, supporting use cases from drone deployment to body-worn camera monitoring.
The system was designed with growth in mind. Its IP-based architecture supports live integration with Axon body cam feeds and the city’s expanding drone programme. Additional planned extensions include mobile command trailers, remote operations centres and portable systems for large public events.

Everyone had access, and it just worked. If something doesn’t work, we’ll say so. But RGB Spectrum’s real-time visualisation system is absolutely working for us—and we rely on it every day.”
Located in California’s Central Valley, Clovis is a growing city of over 129,000 residents. Despite its relatively small police force – 130 sworn officers – the department says it is investing in advanced AV tools to meet the challenges of urban growth and evolving public safety demands. The RTIC consolidates siloed systems into a single operational picture, increasing response speed and improving officer safety.
In addition to enhancing internal workflows, the RTIC is designed to improve coordination with fire and emergency medical departments, as well as neighbouring jurisdictions. Video feed, including drone footage, can be securely shared via RGB Spectrum’s portal features, allowing cross-agency visibility on both desktop and mobile devices.
