PPDS has supplied its Philips MediaSuite professional TVs to Ireland’s 5-star Europe Hotel and Resort in Killarney, with the venue selecting the displays as part of an in-room technology upgrade designed to support personalised entertainment and IPTV services.
The 65in Philips MediaSuite models, which integrate Google Cast without requiring external hardware, were chosen to fit into the hotel’s existing IPTV network and property management system. The platform is designed to let guests access streaming apps via their own devices or use built-in features such as the Google Play store for on-screen information, media and local services.
The installation is intended to provide a flexible, centrally managed system that the company says can evolve through regular Android-based firmware updates.
The system offers Google Cast streaming, IPTV integration for live and on-demand content, and access to a wide range of apps through the Google Play store. PPDS notes that ongoing software updates are designed to extend product lifespan and support sustainability goals.
