It can now be revealed that PPDS, the exclusive global provider of Philips Professional Displays, installed 778 hotel TVs, digital signage, and dvLED walls inside Finland’s advanced business hotel complex, the Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport.
Located immediately outside Vantaa Airport’s main terminal, the 12-floor multi-purpose Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport, which opened last year, is a premium destination for travellers and businesses, boasting 505 luxury guest rooms, a rooftop cocktail bar, an à la carte restaurant, a gym, and heated outdoor pool. The hotel also features a 21-room conference centre and a 1,050-capacity ballroom.
The hotel’s owners, Strawberry Hotels – one of the largest hotel groups in the Nordics with over 240 properties – turned to PPDS to improve facilities for guests. Solution specialists Speeron, Smart Media Solutions, and Audico Systems, installed 778 Google Cast integrated Philips MediaSuite 6214 UHD TVs, including 50in, 65in, and 75in size variants, inside all guest rooms and suites. The screen sizes depended on room sizes and layouts.
To develop the conferencing facilities, Strawberry Hotels selected PPDS’ newly launched 135in Philips Unite LED All In One displays. Meanwhile three Philips Public 7000 Series LED walls were custom-installed inside the conference centre. These were mounted using purpose-designed systems from Smart Media Solutions, with each set into a wooden slatted design.
A range of digital signage was chosen for wayfinding and information, including 88in and 75in Philips Signage 3000 Series Q-Line displays and 98in Philips Signage 4000 Series Modular D-Line displays.
