Perfectly compact: new NAD digital music system

The new VISO 1 Digital Music System from NAD is compact and designed to be easy to use straight out of the box, with no additional wires or complicated set-up required.

The new VISO 1 Digital Music System from NAD is compact and designed to be easy to use straight out of the box, with no additional wires or complicated set-up required.

The precision ‘ring’ design facilitates the mounting and operation of an iPod or iPhone in a natural way. After plugging in the power cord to a household outlet, the user simply needs to connect wirelessly or dock in the rotating cradle, select the required music, and press ‘play’. When docked the supplied remote handset allows the user to start or stop the music, skip tracks, and adjust the volume from his/her chair.

Integrated Bluetooth reception allows any Bluetooth enabled device to integrate with the VISO 1, paving the way for wireless integration of the iTouch, iPhone and iPad, as well as Android and Windows-based smartphones and tablets. ‘Virtually any’ handheld device can stream music to VISO 1.

VISO 1 also includes NAD’s Direct Digital technology, first introduced in the Masters Series M2 Direct Digital Amplifier.

Reflecting on the year now drawing to a close, Alex Munro, Armour Home CP director and NAD UK brand manager, told IE Residential: “2011 has been a very important year for NAD, with the company’s 40th anniversary bringing a bright new digital sunrise and being used as a launch platform for a wave of exciting new products, including a digital media tuner, a wireless DAC, an integrated DAC amplifier, a compact one-piece digital music system, and finishing the year with the ultimate in computer-free audio, the Masters Digital Music Suite. This inspired us to completely overhaul our UK distribution [and] ensure we had the right partners to be able to properly present these advanced products to the discerning public. Not many people can say that the audio market has been strong for them in 2011, but we believe that NAD is very-well placed to face the New Year.”
