Panasonic PT-RQ45 projector makes live debut at French festival

Latest high-end solution deployed across annual two-day Lille Video Mapping Festival

Panasonic’s latest MEVIX PT-RQ45 projector was deployed across the annual Lille Video Mapping Festival in France this spring, transforming the festival’s architecture into large-scale digital artworks, by combining multiple protected images onto a single video-mapped canvas.

Three 40,000-lumen 3-Chip DLP PT-RQ45 projectors were installed in portrait orientation at a projection distance of 42 metres, creating a seamless 3840 x 2160 canvas across 3 blended images with just a 1 metre soft edge overlap.

Intended to drive innovation in video mapping, the Lille Video Mapping Festival spans over 11 sites along a 2 kilometre route, and attracts over 200,000 visitors annually.
