Panasonic hits the ground running in Turin

Both events took place at Torino Oval Lingotto, which has been installed with a trio of Astrovision screens. With variable dimensions from 12 to 28sqm and LED technology, Astrovision is said to deliver clear visibility to the public even from long distances.

A Panasonic System Solutions Europe spokesperson told II: “Last year the City of Turin chose Panasonic big screens thanks to our long experience as the Official Olympic Partner. The City of Turin [was chosen] once again to host the European Indoor Athletics Championships. Following this they decided to install three Astrovisions to share with the spectators the emotions of the games.”

In addition, revealed the spokesperson, the City of Turin is currently constructing two indoor Olympic-size swimming pools, both of which will also feature Panasonic Astrovision equipment.

Possessing a capacity of 8,500, Torino Oval Lingotto was built for use at the 2006 Winter Olympics. It has subsequently played host to a variety of sporting fixtures, exhibitions and more.
