JBL Professional EON700 and PRX Series loudspeaker systems have been installed at M Suite, a karaoke television (KTV) venue in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with each of its four private room types given a system scaled to its size. Rather than repeat one configuration throughout, M Suite worked with distributor Phuc Giang PGI to develop systems for the Small, Medium, Large and Signature Rooms.
The new location is designed around private karaoke for groups of different sizes, so the audio needed to deliver clarity, output and low-frequency impact while adapting to the scale and layout of each room.
PGI had to balance the impact of music playback with the clarity of the singer’s voice, while keeping coverage even and low frequencies controlled as rooms grew. The Small Rooms use two EON712 powered loudspeakers with a single EON718S powered subwoofer. The Medium Rooms pair two EON712 units with two EON710 powered loudspeakers, positioned to extend coverage towards the rear, and one EON718S subwoofer.
The Large Rooms keep the same platform but scale it up, with six EON712 loudspeakers and two EON718S subwoofers. For the Signature Room, PGI moved to the PRX Series, specifying six PRX915 powered loudspeakers in a surround configuration with four PRX918XLF powered subwoofers. A Soundcraft mixer provides mixing for the room’s audio system.
Because all the systems are active, amplification is integrated within the loudspeakers, giving PGI a common deployment approach from the two-loudspeaker, one-subwoofer setups to the Signature Room’s surround system. According to Mr Khang of PGI Pro Audio’s product division, the installation was the company’s first use of JBL Professional active loudspeaker systems for a KTV project.

After evaluating solutions from several brands and receiving consultation from the PGI team, M Suite selected JBL Professional for its dynamic sound performance, vocal clarity and ability to deliver an immersive karaoke experience.”

That approach provided the vocal clarity, coverage, output and low-frequency performance needed across the venue’s different karaoke environments.”
