Bluesound Professional has partnered with soundscape specialist Moodsonic to create The Listening Room, a 10m x 11m immersive wellness installation at the Vancouver Convention Centre designed to evoke a tropical rainforest environment. Ambient lighting and draperies complement audio of natural environments – designed to evoke a tropical rainforest – delivered through eight BSP200 speakers.
Sensing microphones allow the soundscape to respond intelligently to conditions in the room, tailoring the audio environment in real time for a calm, balanced atmosphere. BluOS serves as the control and management platform, handling playback consistency and sound distribution, while NETGEAR switches provide network infrastructure using pre-configured profiles for Bluesound Professional products to simplify deployment.
Graeme Harrison, vice president of Bluesound Professional, said: “By combining Moodsonic’s soundscaping expertise with BluOS’s cutting-edge wireless platform, we have created an environment where sound and technology will enhance attendee experiences.”
The Listening Room is located in room 210 of the Vancouver Convention Centre, accessed via the City Foyer on Level 2. TED2026 runs from April 13 to 17.
