Vienna-based Attraktion!, which develops and installs specialised media-based attractions, is increasing its presence in China with new and upcoming immersive 4D and 5D installations.
The company recently installed one of the largest 4D theatres in the world in LEWA Wonderland theme park in Xian. This immersive installation, for 600 people at a time, is a multisensory experience featuring 4K 3D projection within a huge theatre space, 4D seats and other highly elaborate special effects.
Markus Beyr, CEO of Attraktion!, said: “We consulted the full Lewa Wonderland theme park project in several disciplines, and are happy to see the completion of our 4D theatre project in Xian as another successful step in establishing our group in China. With a Dome Ride Theater for the expansion of the park, Attraktion! is currently working on more media-based attractions in this province.”
Developed by Attraktion! and Intamin Amusement Rides, the Dome Ride Theater (pictured) merges a full dome experience with a steel ride structure in which visitors sit on a ring-shaped platform that rotates as well as tilts – immersing them in an captivating audiovisually themed environment.
Additionally, following the launch of the waterproof 5D theatre attraction Cinesplash5D in Ningbo Hangzhouwan Dream Hotspring Water World, Attraktion! has already been contracted for more Cinesplash5D attractions, including two theatres for Wanda Group in Qingdao and Wuxi.
As well as featuring a completely waterproof theatrical fitout with moving seats, Cinesplash5D’s special effects can involve water floods and explosions, waterfalls, water fountains, water guns and e more.
