Stories in Sound set to immerse music fans in story of Abbey Road studios

Led by authors of Recording the Beatles, Kevin Ryan and Brian Kehew, the experience will be brought to life through storytelling, imagery and performances

Launching in August 2024, Stories in Sound is a new immersive experience from Abbey Road studios combining storytelling with live music. Music fans will be able to experience the incredible story of Abbey Road and its role in music history, alongside live performances of the music created within our walls.

Stories in Sound takes place in the legendary Studio Two, where The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Oasis, Adele, and many others, recorded songs. It brings the audience into the world of Abbey Road through the songs and film scores that have shaped popular culture for over 92 years.

Led by authors of Recording the Beatles, Kevin Ryan and Brian Kehew, this experience will be brought to life through storytelling, imagery and performances. A live string quartet, guitarist and pianist will play the music where it was recorded.

Running across 2, 3, and 4 August at various times, in-person tickets are available here.

New for 2024, Abbey Road  has also introduced a global streaming experience. On Saturday 10 August, there is an exclusive online event with behind-the-scenes content unavailable at the live event. Appearances by special guests, yet to be announced, are promised.
