True Colours Distribution, the technical division of Midwich, is to distribute the Evoko Room Manager.
The Evoko Room Manager is described as a hassle-free system for booking meeting rooms. The booking status of a meeting room is made clear on a touch-sensitive screen outside the room, while actions such as extending and cancelling a meeting are made easy. Bookings are made as usual using Outlook, and it is also possible to book spontaneous meetings directly on the touch-sensitive screen.
It is possible to increase the degree of room use even further by activating a function (Confirm) that automatically releases the room and allows it to be booked by others if the meeting is not confirmed within a certain period after the planned starting time.
The installation of Evoko Room Manager is claimed to be simple: a touch-screen showing bookings and other information is installed outside the meeting room and is connected to the company’s Exchange server. It is claimed to be no more difficult than setting up a new e-mail account on the server, and requires no new software.
“Evoko Room Manager comes at a time when more and more are thinking of ways they can more efficiently make use of time,” said Daniel Assarson, sales and marketing manager at Evoko. “Meetings are not the least of such vital considerations. Evoko Room Manager solves these problems by simplifying the very process of booking rooms and rendering the booking status easier to understand.”
Using icons and text, the screen interface clearly shows who has scheduled the room and for how long, as well as upcoming free periods. It is readily visible from a distance as to whether or not the room can be booked thanks to the screen’s green or red LED background illumination.
“The quality of the Evoko Room Manager along with the stylish form factor, made it the number one choice for us to promote to our customer base,” said Iain Campbell, sales director at True Colours. “We have seen a swing in technologies towards simplicity in the collaborative meeting room environment and the Evoko solution is simple and very functional.”
