Black Box and Knürr announce new mobile command solution

Integrated Mobile Command & Control Center (IMCC) offers mobile, secure, ergonomic command workspaces for border control, drone monitoring, and emergency use

Black Box, a global provider of mission-critical IP KVM and secure connectivity, and Knürr, a German specialist in control-room infrastructure, have introduced the Integrated Mobile Command & Control Center (IMCC). The IMCC is a fully equipped, rapidly deployable mobile command environment in a 20ft container that integrates Black Box’s end-to-end control technology with Knürr’s modular command workspace.

The companies say that each IMCC includes power distribution, cabling, data connectivity, climate control, ergonomic operator consoles, and an independent data centre, and can be delivered within 15 weeks of order. Unlike traditional heavy, TEMPEST-shielded command modules, the IMCC is designed to be commercial-transport ready, making it suitable for a variety of field operations.

Manuel Witzke, sales director EMEA, Black Box, said: “Mobility is now mission-critical. This system provides the performance and security of a fixed command centre, wherever operations require it. We are pleased to present it alongside our partner Knürr at Milipol Paris.”

Visitors can experience the IMCC at Milipol, the international trade show for homeland security, law enforcement, and public safety, from November 18-21, in Paris. It will be on display in Hall 5, booth D167.
