Sharp Visual Solutions Europe has announced the availability of its new plug and play Video Wall Solution Package. Customers can select from a range of high-performance monitors, all with ultra-slim bezels. Available in a 2×2, 3×3 or 4×2 configuration, the walls come pre-tested and synchronised for seamless image movement across the displays. They are also supplied with all accessories for a video wall including cables, splitter and a hub.
“Video walls can have great impact across a wide range of environments from retail to hospitality, transport hubs and more,” said Nikolaus Hass, European solutions project manager, visual solutions, Sharp. “In this new “set-up and switch-on” system, the walls come ready-synced. There’s also everything you need to build, easily connect and manage the screens making it much easier and more accessible for more customers to use video walls to capture people’s attention.”
Three options are available: the PN-V600, PN-V601, and PN-V602. The higher-end screen offers 1,500 candelas of brightness for semi-outdoor environments and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. There is only 6.5mm between each display to give the impression of a single, large display canvass.
As well as addressing the complexity of creating a video wall, the new solution is said to help reduce running costs too. The PN-V602, for example, offers local dimming which allows specific groups of LEDs to be independently dimmed or brightened for greater control of the darkness and brightness in different areas of the monitor. This is said to result in higher contrast, deeper blacks and brighter colours and considerably reduced power consumption.
Built for professional applications, the screens are backed with a five-year warranty on wall mounted systems and three-years for stand-mounted video walls.
