Midwich has announced that it has signed a distribution deal with Crestron. The agreement covers Crestron’s unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) range of products, Crestron Flex, within the UK and Ireland.
Crestron Flex offers video conferencing systems for multiple applications to enable decentralised workforces effective collaboration solutions, and integrates with Microsoft Teams, Zoom Rooms and additional BYOD solutions to offer greater flexibility for meeting room spaces, said the company.
“We are delighted to bring Crestron’s UC&C offering to our customers,” said Greg Bennett, business manager at Midwich. “Working with an established brand that is synonymous with quality and their latest collaborative workplace products means our customers now have more choice on the deployment of certified Microsoft Teams or Zoom Rooms experiences. Later this month, we look forward to showcasing Crestron to our customers at our flagship event, Tech Xpo, on 13th and 14th September at Ascot Racecourse.”
In a statement announcing the deal, Midwich pointed to Fortune Business Insights‘ recent valuation of the UC&C market at US$60.73 billion in 2022, projecting the market will grow to $222.61 by 2030, at a CAGR of 17.7 per cent. “As hybrid working continues, the need for meeting equity is paramount in video conferencing to put all meeting attendees on an equal footing,” said Ross Floyd, commercial director of Midwich UK&I. “The Crestron Flex range works with multiple devices and software platforms allowing flexibility and ease of use across various sized rooms and locations to help overcome some of the challenges of physical distance. Adding Crestron’s UC&C range to our offering gives us increased scope to help our customers explore new products and offer a range of complete solutions to meet the needs of their end user.”
