Lutron debuts intelligent shading systems

Intelligent shading systems that can provide near-silent daylight management, plus energy savings through the reduction of solar heat gain, have been launched by Lutron.

Intelligent shading systems that can provide near-silent daylight management, plus energy savings through the reduction of solar heat gain, have been launched by Lutron.
The company’s new Serena Cellular Shades integrate seamlessly with its HomeWorks QS whole-home control solution. Users can control the shades from either a wall-mounted control or wireless handheld device, including Lutron’s iPad App. The shades come in a wide range of fabrics.
Lutron’s Venetian Blinds with intelligent tilt alignment offer precision alignment of tilt and lift positions between multiple shades, while its Roman shades with proprietary safety technology allow for more reliable, smoother, and virtually silent shade movement while also removing the hazard posed to children by exposed cords. The various shades are available in a wide range of colours in soft fabrics, woven woods, sheers, and linings.
The company’s Grafik Eye QS system, complete with KNX integration, is also on show and can be integrated with Lutron’s Sivoia QS shades system, occupancy and daylight sensors, as well as a KNX keypad for meeting and conference room control.
“With the addition of KNX, the latest developments in intelligent shading solutions such as the newly launched Serena Cellular Shades, as well as cutting-edge user control via Lutron’s iPad App, Lutron offers installers even more energy efficient, expandable, whole-home control solutions,” said Andrew Bechgaard, Lutron’s head of marketing, EMEA.
