Groupe Novelty debuts LiDAR rigging technology

At ISE 2026, company is highlighting new R&D developments, alongside live demonstrations of integrated AVL systems on its co-exhibitor stand with tracking specialist Naostage

Groupe Novelty, a France-based international group specialising in live event production, AV integration and technical services, is presenting a new, patent-pending rigging measurement technology at ISE 2026, while also demonstrating its broader technical capabilities on stand 6R100 in Hall 6 as a co-exhibitor with tracking specialist Naostage.

The main technology debut at the show comes from Groupe Novelty’s in-house R&D division, Teamagine. The company is introducing a precision truss measurement and monitoring system based on industrial-grade LiDAR, designed to calculate and track truss positions in real time during installation and operation.

The solution consists of three components: AltiCell, a LiDAR sensor mounted on the structure; AltiCollect, an aggregation unit; and AltiConnect, a ground control interface. The system is intended to improve accuracy and safety in complex rigging environments and will be available exclusively through stage rigging specialist Altimate, which is exhibiting separately at stand 8E880.

On its own stand, Groupe Novelty is also demonstrating integrated AVL workflows delivered by its network of specialist companies. The stand is being fully produced by Novelty Spain and features a large-format experiential LED setup combining a 5m × 4m 2.6 mm pitch LED wall with a 5m × 8m LED floor.

Video playback is driven by a SMODE media server, supplied by Groupe Novelty company Alabama Média, with supporting signal distribution and monitoring. The setup is designed to show how video, lighting, audio and control systems can be combined into a single operational environment.

Live production elements on the stand include Panasonic AW-UE150 4K PTZ cameras, a Yamaha QL1 digital mixing console with Shure ULX-D wireless microphones, and a lighting system featuring fixtures from Ayrton, Martin, Robe and Cameo, controlled via a grandMA3 console.

Beyond its own booth, Groupe Novelty is supporting multiple exhibitors across the show floor. This includes acting as technical partner for the Analog Way stand (3F800) and providing AVL equipment and integration support for several other exhibitors at ISE 2026.

The company is also using the show to underline its role as a co-development partner for manufacturers. Recent collaborations have focused on new stage lift designs, LED Fresnel fixtures for cinema and broadcast, mesh LED systems, moving lights and semi-transparent LED panels.

Jessica Chailloux, director of communications for Groupe Novelty, said: “ISE is an important moment for us to highlight both our R&D work and the practical expertise we bring to live events and permanent installations. The LiDAR rigging system is a good example of how we’re developing tools that address real-world technical challenges.”
