ISE 2013: Crestron showcases Integrated by Design solutions

Crestron is presenting a fully-functional integrated building environment to ISE 2013 attendees. The company has also announced details of its education programme for the Amsterdam-based show..

Crestron is introducing the European market to its Integrated by Design solutions in Amsterdam at ISE 2013.

ISE attendees have the opportunity to experience the fully-functional integrated building environment live at the show, demonstrating Crestron solutions for global monitoring, management and control of AV, energy, voice & data, lighting, security, room scheduling, and HVAC on a single platform to maximise energy savings.

“No one is building schools, hospitals, hotels or office spaces that aren’t energy efficient, networked and digital,” commented Robin van Meeuwen, VP of sales and marketing at Crestron International. “While the various technologies and systems may be on the network, they all run separately. Our clients want and expect all systems on the network to work together in an intelligent way and to be centrally managed.”

The Integrated by Design solutions include:

– Crestron 3-Series Control Systems with BACnet/IP support, which integrates and manages all the disparate technologies throughout a facility. The built-in BACnet/IP support enables seamless integration with existing building management systems.

– Fusion global enterprise management platform is a modular platform providing the foundation for smarter buildings. It comprises the Fusion RV (RoomView) and Fusion EM (Energy Management). Fusion RV enables organisations to centrally monitor and manage room scheduling, as well as AV presentation and video conferencing resources from the help desk. Meanwhile Fusion EM manages and monitors all energy sources in real-time, captures, analyses, and modifies historical usage data, and allows users easy access to control and automate commands that impact energy savings, all within the same interface.

– Crestron DigitalMedia includes everything needed to connect, display, distribute and manage all analogue and digita audio and video signals. It features a built-in managed Ethernet switch and operates in Private Network Mode – meaning the entire DM system uses just one IP address on the network. The system also supports SNMP data, so IT managers can monitor the AV system from their IT dashboard – such as HP Network Management Center or IBM Tivoli.

– Crestron Shading Solutions – currently available in North America with plans to launch it in several EMEA countries – brings together designer shading with electric lighting, AV, climate and security control for complete, integrated, intuitive home management.

Crestron is also showcasing its new Core 3 UI powered family of tablet-sized, Power over Ethernt (PoE) touchscreens at ISE 2013. Available in 5in, 7in and 10in models, the ultra-thin TSW collection provides the same high-performance home control as larger touch screens and a consistent elegant look.

What’s more, the company is holding an extensive training shedule during ISE 2013. The Crestron Capture HD and DigitalMedia – Building Management in Full High Definition will discuss, among other topics, the 10 essential considerations when designing digital AV systems and why HDCP compliance does not guarantee protected content display.

Crestron Complete Building Management on the Existing Network is set to show attendees how to connect AV, lighting, shades and HVAC with IT on one managed network and partner with Building Management System companies.

Crestron Core 3 UI, the Groundbreaking OS and GUI Design Platform to Manage the Building will uncover how Core 3 gives programmers the ability to design dynamic, graphically rich and intuitive touch screen interfaces to control every connected device in the network in half the time.

Crestron Introduces the Next Generation of Building Management Products and Solutions will showcase the Crestron energy management solution, which can enable users to control all environmental systems and manage sustainable and renewable energy sources to reduce utility costs.

Complete Home Management on the Existing Network, will deliver the only fully integrated solutions that manage the whole home on a single platform. And the final session will be Crestron Energy Management Enables Control of All Environmental Systems.
