PK Sound has welcomed AF Live and Sonalyst as its first UK-based touring and rental partners, supported by the recent establishment of a dedicated UK entity led by director of global network and partnerships Mike Case. Both companies have invested in PK Sound’s robotic line array systems following a series of deployments across major UK events this summer.

Bristol-based AF Live’s initial investment comprises robotic line array systems with intelligent subwoofers capable of arena- and stadium-sized applications. Deployments included sold-out boxing events at the 3Arena in Dublin, The O2 in London and St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton, alongside the Nexus Stage at Boomtown Fair.
Paul Rose, director of AF Live, said: “We’ve now deployed PK systems on several major events and experienced the operational efficiencies firsthand. Because the coverage can be mechanically tailored to the exact environment, the results are consistently superior.”
South Wales-based Sonalyst also invested in PK Sound’s robotic inventory, with its first deployment at Usher Hall in Edinburgh for the global premiere of Outlander in Concert.
Rory Madden, managing director at Sonalyst, added: “Being able to mechanically shape the system’s coverage to the contours of the room was a tremendous advantage, allowing us to maintain clarity and consistency throughout the different levels and seating areas.”
Mike Case, director of global network and partnerships at PK Sound, said: “Welcoming AF Live and Sonalyst to our network represents a significant milestone for PK in the United Kingdom. Together, they establish an incredibly strong baseline from which we can demonstrate the acoustic and operational advantages of PK technologies to other potential mobile and installed partners throughout the UK.”
