Cipiesse, a rental company based in Rezzato, near Brescia in northern Italy, has invested in the Outline Superfly sound system, adding it to an inventory that already includes the large-format GTO C-12 line array acquired last year.
The company, which has operated in the shows, conventions and events business for almost 50 years, has secured a series of new contracts for the current live season. Alongside long-running commitments such as the Brescia, Bergamo and Vallecamonica Summer Music series, Cipiesse has won audio contracts for several new festivals. In Lombardy, it will handle Lazzaretto Estate in Bergamo, a summer season built around a multidisciplinary programme; in Veneto, it takes on Bassano Music Park in Bassano del Grappa, where Sting will headline on July 31 alongside other international acts.
Cipiesse’s relationship with Outline dates back to the 1990s, when it first deployed the manufacturer’s point-source systems. In the early 2000s it adopted the Butterfly line array, still in service today, before later moving to the Mantas range and, last year, the GTO C-12. The addition of Superfly continues a three-decade path of building its inventory around the Brescia brand, under the guidance of founder Santo Bertocchi and partner and operations manager Marco Riva.
Federico Bianchi, general manager of Audio Link, Outline’s Italian distributor, said: “With Superfly now at Cipiesse, the Outline network in Italy grows a little wider, and for rental companies that counts for more and more. When a service company lands a production that outstrips its own inventory, being able to turn to colleagues who run the same systems makes all the difference: you can top up your stock with identical products at short notice and keep the whole setup consistent, even on the largest productions. It is a real operational advantage, above all in terms of time, and it is one of the reasons why more and more Italian rental companies are choosing Outline.”
