PK Sound robotic line source systems were deployed across multiple stages at Dreamstate, a trance and electronic music festival held at the Queen Mary Waterfront in Long Beach, California, with audio production handled by BNE Productions.
BNE anchored the main Dream stage with arrays of 10 Trinity Black large-format robotic elements over two T10 medium-format robotic elements per side, supported by 40 T218 intelligent subwoofers arranged in columns of two. Left and right delay towers each carried six Trinity Black modules, with additional T10 modules serving as front fills and covering the VIP area side-stage. PK Sound systems were also deployed on the Sequence and Void stages.
The Dream stage deployment made use of PK Sound’s multi-axis robotic technology, which is designed to tailor acoustic coverage of main and delay arrays precisely to the audience area, reducing spillage into adjacent stages and public spaces. The on-site team was led by FOH and system engineer Ian Hicks, monitor engineer John Malgioglio, and RF and monitor tech Kevin Hamabata.
Saad Al-Jadir, of BNE Productions, said: “For an event like Dreamstate – and especially a headlining set of this magnitude – complete confidence in your audio system is non-negotiable. PK Sound gives us the tools to raise the bar for what these experiences can be on stages of this scale and profile.”
Jeff Ryan, director of Dreamstate Festival, added: “BNE did exceptional work. PK Sound systems are among the best solutions to deliver events of this calibre – the clarity, impact, and consistency of the audio helped us exceed fan expectations and reinforce the experience that Dreamstate is known for worldwide.”
