PK Sound has expanded its partnership with Hi, Society Entertainment, a Kamloops, B.C.-based provider of audio, staging and event production services, following the company’s investment in a T8 robotic line source system.

The purchase of 12 T8 compact robotic line source modules marks Hi, Society’s first move into PK Sound’s robotic line source technology. The units will work alongside the company’s existing PK Sound inventory, including its G218 subwoofers, as it supports concerts, festivals and events across Western Canada.
T8 uses PK Sound’s patented Multi-Axis Robotics to allow remote and real-time mechanical control of both vertical and horizontal coverage, enabling operators to adjust acoustic performance for different venues and audiences. The robotic control also aims to reduce unwanted reflections and cut deployment times, requiring fewer technicians on site.
Kellan Sandhu, founder and owner of Hi, Society Entertainment, said: “The robotic coverage control gives us the flexibility to optimise every deployment for the venue or audience in front of us while maintaining the clarity, consistency and impact that people expect from a PK system. It’s a major step forward for our company and the productions we support.”
Trevor Grenier, global partner support at PK Sound, added: “Long-term relationships are the heart of the PK Sound community, and Hi, Society has been a valued supporter of our brand for many years. We’re excited to see Kellan and his team embrace robotic line source technology as the next stage of their growth. Together, we’ll continue building on the reputations of both companies while delivering exceptional live sound experiences throughout one of the most important and influential event markets in Canada.”
