Performer tracking specialist Follow-Me adds Greek distributor

Kariotis Audio & Lighting, an AV integrator in Greece and Cyprus, will represent company's full range, including the DELTA auto tracking system, with a public debut at an immersive event in Athens on April 1-2

Follow-Me, a specialist in performer tracking solutions for live events, theatre and touring productions, has agreed a distribution partnership with Kariotis Audio & Lighting, an AV integrator business serving Greece and Cyprus since 1967. The relationship makes its public debut at The Immersive Experience – a two-day event on April 1-2, at Anassa City Events in Athens – where Follow-Me’s Track-iT system will be integrated with Adamson speakers, Prolights fixtures and a DiGiCo Quantum852, with a live musical performance as the centrepiece.

The partnership covers the full Follow-Me product range across Greece and Cyprus. The relationship developed after Kariotis invited Follow-Me to integrate its Track-iT auto tracking system into an immersive audio and lighting demonstration at a trade show, where it was used alongside Adamson Fletcher Machine – another brand Kariotis distributes in the region. Visits to Follow-Me’s headquarters for demonstrations and training followed before the formal agreement was reached.

Kariotis plans to promote Follow-Me through its programme of free technical seminars and is already in discussions with theatres about installation projects. The company is also targeting rental companies looking to replace legacy follow spot setups, and sees the Greek theatre market as an area of particular opportunity.

Pandelis Kariotis, sales manager and technical advisor at Kariotis Audio & Lighting, said: “The new DELTA system is particularly exciting for us, because space constraints are a real challenge in Greek live venues. Being able to remove the need for two or more follow spot operators on the floor opens up a whole new way of thinking about how we run live events.”

Marc van der Wel, managing director of Follow-Me, added: “Our intention is to get an even closer connection with lighting, audio and video designers, as well as technicians and operators in the region, to present and support Follow-Me effectively.”
