Nureva expands Iberian reach with Charmex distribution deal

Canadian manufacturer of audio for meeting rooms and learning spaces partners with Spanish AV distributor to strengthen UC delivery in Spain and Portugal

Nureva has appointed Charmex as a distributor for Spain and Portugal, extending the reach of its conferencing and collaboration audio systems across the Iberian market.

The Calgary-based manufacturer develops audio solutions for meeting rooms and learning spaces, while Barcelona-headquartered Charmex is a long-established B2B AV distributor supplying integrators across corporate, education and public sector environments.

Under the agreement, Charmex will make Nureva’s audio systems available through its existing reseller and integrator network, targeting medium and large meeting rooms, classrooms and lecture halls. The partnership is intended to support growing demand for hybrid collaboration across both countries.

Nureva’s portfolio is based around its proprietary Microphone Mist technology, which the company says is designed to provide full-room audio coverage using large numbers of virtual microphones, reducing the need for complex microphone arrays and DSP programming.

The distributor appointment comes as hybrid working and learning continue to drive investment in unified communications and collaboration spaces across Spain and Portugal, particularly in higher education and enterprise environments.

Santiago Verdú, CEO of Charmex Internacional, said: “The addition of Nureva strengthens our portfolio in the UC&C space. Its audio systems are designed to help customers deploy clear and consistent audio in larger rooms without the complexity often associated with traditional installations.”

Nancy Knowlton, CEO of Nureva, added: “Working with Charmex gives us an experienced local partner with strong AV channel relationships. This is designed to help organisations modernise meeting rooms and classrooms with audio systems that are straightforward to deploy and manage.”
