Nureva adds Japanese distributor for audio conferencing range

Tokyo-based AV and communications specialist Media Plus will distribute HDL systems, powered by Canadian manufacturer's Microphone Mist technology

Nureva has appointed Media Plus as its distributor in Japan, giving the Canadian audio conferencing manufacturer a route to market in the country’s growing unified communications sector.

Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Tokyo, Media Plus specialises in audiovisual and communications solutions including videoconferencing, AV system design, and integrated room solutions for corporate environments. The company will distribute Nureva’s HDL audio conferencing series, which is certified for use in larger Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms.

Nureva’s systems are powered by its patented Microphone Mist technology, which the company says fills rooms with thousands of virtual microphones to deliver full-room coverage without the need for multicomponent installations. The approach is designed to suit medium and larger spaces where consistent microphone pickup and simplified deployment are priorities.

Naoko Sugano, president of Media Plus, said: “Nureva’s Microphone Mist technology brings a unique and highly effective approach to medium- and large-room audio, delivering clear, consistent coverage while removing much of the complexity typically associated with design, installation and operation.”

Nancy Knowlton, CEO of Nureva, added: “Adding Media Plus in Japan strengthens our ability to help organisations equip meeting spaces with clear, reliable audio. The company’s deep expertise in videoconferencing and integrated AV solutions makes them exceptionally well positioned to expand adoption of Nureva audio systems across the Japanese market.”
