Funktion-One, a UK loudspeaker manufacturer, has formed a new distribution partnership to extend its presence in Central Asia. Funktion-One Central Aziya unites veteran sound engineer Andrey Kremenchugskiy with regional business developer Askar Salikhbaev.

The partnership will cover Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and is positioned to provide professional sound systems across multiple sectors, including sporting venues, nightclubs, restaurants, and home studios. Recent regional projects include a Funktion-One installation at the Humo Ice Dome in Tashkent.
Andrey Kremenchugskiy, sound engineer and co-founder of Funktion-One Central Aziya, said: “I’ve been working with Funktion-One systems for almost 25 years. I share the company’s philosophy and their support has always been world-class. I just love how Funktion-One loudspeakers sound.”
Kremenchugskiy added: “We are seeing opportunities across different segments, from government-backed sporting venues to smaller-scale commercial and residential installations. Funktion-One offers options that can be adapted for these applications.”
Andrew Low, director of sales at Funktion-One, added: “We’re delighted to collaborate with Andrey and his team again. Having worked together on a number of projects over the last 20 years, we know his technical standards are exceptional. Askar’s local market knowledge will be invaluable as we explore these markets.”
Funktion-One Central Aziya is currently in discussions with several early-stage projects in the region, reflecting the company’s approach to expanding into developing Central Asian markets with its audio systems.
