Futuresource Consulting has appointed Richard McDonald as chief executive officer and Kathy Million as chief operating officer as the market research and consulting specialist looks to expand its business across pro AV, consumer electronics, entertainment and education.
The UK-headquartered company said the new leadership team will focus on developing its product offering and data and insights capabilities, strengthening partnerships and expanding its client base while maintaining direct access to its analyst team.
“The brilliance of Futuresource is in our analysts and the relationships they build with clients,” said McDonald. “They know their markets, challenge assumptions and understand the commercial decisions behind the questions.
“Our ambition is to bring that expertise to more businesses while preserving the direct access and personal attention that make Futuresource distinctive. When a client faces a decision that matters, we want to be their first call.”
McDonald brings experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment and technology, including transactions in healthcare software and technology. His previous work has also included investment in intellectual property relating to synthetic and 3D imaging for AI applications.
Million has more than three decades of experience spanning operational leadership, business development and customer relationships. She is also president and chief operating officer of BCC Research, a sister company to Futuresource.
Previously director of mergers and acquisitions at Eli Global, Million developed a global acquisition process covering opportunity identification, qualification, deal structuring and due diligence. Her career has also included roles at PwC, TBM Consulting Group, Netsertive and DealCloud.
“Operational excellence should be felt by the client,” said Million. “It shows up in an answer that arrives when it is needed, a team that understands the brief and a promise that is kept.
“My priority is to give our people the clarity, support and tools to do exceptional work, and to preserve the personal attention our clients value as we grow.”
Futuresource said it is also developing a refreshed brand and digital presence as part of its next phase of growth. The company is looking to increase the visibility of its specialist research and analyst expertise while developing how clients access and use its data and insights.
